7 years and counting...

WHOA!!! Keeping up with this stuff is insane. I had this whole idea to have like 3 different blogs and I kept up with NONE OF THEM!!!! And that's when it was just us two...and Charlie (our awesome pup).

SO...what's new?? Fast track timeline starting NOW:

1. Got married September 29, 2012.
2. Bought a beautiful lil home that we were renovating. Boy do I miss that house. :(
3. Moved to Austin 2014. "Keeping it weird".
4. Started in a small little apartment where I was afraid to get shot through the wall. YIKES!
5. Found out we were pregnant! Beautiful baby girl was born in October 2015.
6. Surprise! Baby number two, our amazing little man, born April 2017.
7. Downsize to buy a dream home in a 900 square apartment.
8. Buy a 2 acre home with a brand new beautiful house in August 2018.
9. House floods 40 days later! Find out some crazy stuff about the builder, the lot, EVERYTHING.
10. Not safe to live there. Got to find a new place before our credit goes down the pooper.
11. SAFE! New rental. New stuff ( all donated). Suit in the works.
12.Now...life!

PHEW! I could go in to every single one of these, and I probably will. We've got so much going on :) and I can't wait to share.

Down to the Nitty Gritty!!

So, invitations will be going out soon. Its getting closer by the minute. We are exactly 2 months and 16 days away for getting hitched!! HOLY MOLY...I'm tingling just thinking of it. I've been waiting for it for ...what...7 years LOL!!!

If I'd have known that planning a wedding was going to be so stressful, so unbelievable exhausting...I think I would have re-thunk it...LOL is that even a word, oh well. I think at this point we're too late to make any drastic changes. The best thing to do is go onward. We're about done.
Groom-CHECK, Dress-CHECK, rings-CHECK, court-CHECK, venue-CHECK, Menu-CHECK, flowers...almost. We pretty much have them down, I'm just hoping they don't cut into our budget too too much, to pay for something that'll die in 3 days seems a lil pointless, but thats just my opinion.

So whats left to do?? Well, I have to drop anywhere from 10-15 pounds (YIKES), maybe get an even tan LOL, pick out tuxes...like this week and hope that we will still have the day we imagined. (which I know is probably going to be even better than we imagined)

Everytime something goes wrong I just pictures us walking into each others arms...its a bit mushy, but I know thats where nothing bad happens, my safe haven if you will. I know all the headaches and tears will be worth it for the moment I see him waiting for me down that aisle. I can't wait to marry this man!! Makes me smile just thinking about it! :) *sigh

So...for now, I just need to continue what needs to be done, try some yoga or something to de-stress and pray to God that nothing else goes wrong but instead goes smoothly from here on out!!

Have a terrific day!!

Bridesmaids!!

So I haven't updated in a very...very long time. Needless to say I've been super busy with work and have had no time for wedding plans. I have sworn to devote my entire summer to planning the rest of my wedding.

Anywho...on another note. Last night, my brides maids and I went to Crave, an awesomely delicious place on Cincinatti street in EL Paso and watched the ultimate wedding movie "Bridesmaids". It was hilarious!!! We laughed, we cried and had an awesome time and somehow....it appears we might have my bachlorette party in ...VEGAS baby!! WOOO hahaha, lets hope it works out. I think it'd be awesome!!

Oh...and my lovely cousin Lisa made us these awesome lil bridesmaids cakes that were super good!! In case anyone in El Paso is looking for a great cake, Lisa is your woman!! http://elpaso.en.craigslist.org/art/2401734681.html

I said YES...

So, its 8 degrees in lil old El Paso. SNOW DAY!! YAY!! I figure there's nothing better than relaxing under the covers with some Netflix and some good ol' blogging. :) Any who...on to the wedding stuff.

I've been super busy with work and haven't gotten a chance to come on and update. I wasn't really looking to buy yet, but I have found it...MY DRESS!!! I saw it the day before my David's Bridal appointment and if I hadn't been there to try on bridesmaids dresses for my good friend Katrina, I would have never found it.

As we were walking out...there it was, starring right at me. A beautiful Oleg Cassini gown. It was like if it was calling my name. Funny thing is that the girl who was fitting me was also fitting us for my friends wedding and I told her immediatly to put it on my list to try.

So the next day I came back, super excited to show this dress to my mom...and we couldn't find it!!! I was looking for it like a mad woman. Finally I see our girl who knows exactly what dress I am talking about. THe minute I put it on...I knew it was the one. I couldn't wait to walk out in it. It just felt right :)

I did have another appointment at another place later that day, but I knew that my journey was over. Dress...CHECK!!

I know its early...we do have about a year and a half...but I figure..knowing me, the sooner the better. Now I just have to worry about the other stuff...HOLY MOLY!! I better get on it....

Beautiful and True

I love you,
Not only for what you are,
But for what I am
When I am with you.

I love you,
Not only for what
You have made of yourself,
But for what
You are making of me.

I love you
For the part of me
That you bring out.

Ideas a brewing...kind of :/

I thought I'd gotten a lot of great ideas from the bridal fair. Turns out my brain just went into overload. Some days its so fun just thinking about what its going to be like, the dress, the decorations, the venue and T and I sharing our love....Then...I start to think about the price, the extreme planning, the time..UGH!!

I know that time flies...but we are more than a year and half away from our date and I'm already stressing out. How the heck am I going to survive this?

Some days I think T and I should just get married in Vegas, quick, fast and no feelings hurt. But then he makes me snap out of it and reminds me that this is for real, this is about him and myself...for life. That's why I love him, he knows me and what I want and always tells me not to sell myself short. So...I'm going to take some time to really think about what it is I would like instead of just going for the cheaper stuff right away.

I want our wedding to be absolutely wonderful for US!! A day we will never forget. He will, after all, be my forever! :0)
